Bishop Edgar L. Usher is the  Diocesan  Bishop of Jamaica  a council that is forging forward with vision and purpose

Jamaica, the continent of Africa, and any country  where people respect their elders and see each other as Bredrins and Sistrens or Brothers and Sisters, where people practice their daily life as a community instead of divided – these places are where nature embraces and also where the ancestors are grounded, so they continue to teach and uplift the citizens.

Edgar L. Usher is a native of Houston, Texas, born on January 2nd to Deacon Edward and Evangelist Lorena Usher. He is the youngest son and is the sixth (6th) child of seven (7) children.  He received his education at Rhoades Elementary school, Woodson Middle school and Evan E. Worthing High School.  At the tender age of 13, he was baptized in the name of Jesus and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. As a young man, he knew the call on his life for ministry and has been fulfilling his purpose since that time. 

He has been recognized for his distinguished leadership and as one of Houston’s finest young preachers. He has formerly served as the President of the Texas State Pentecostal Young Peoples Union and as the former Vice President of the International Pentecostal Young Peoples Union (IPYPU). Bishop Usher is a charismatic leader and loves the “sound” of the church. As a result, he has previously served as the Music Director for the Houston Area Ministerial Alliance and the Assistant Praise & Worship Director of the IPYPU of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. He previously served as the Chairman of the Bay Area District Fellowship and as well as Chairman of the Houston Area Ministerial Alliance. This has allowed him the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and the world preaching the gospel and ministering in various musical workshops.

During the October 2015 Texas State Council, he was elevated as District Elder.  He was also elected as the Vice Chairman of the Texas State Council, which he currently holds that position. In June 2021 during the Texas State Council, he was consecrated as Suffragan Bishop.

Bishop Usher is a community advocate and understands the importance of meeting people at their place of need.  He offers a worldwide ministry that is dedicated to helping spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and restoring mankind to wholeness of the mind, body and spirit.  He is the Founder and CEO of Ushered in Mentoring Moments, which allows him the opportunity to help young men in need.

Bishop Usher is married to the lovely Rolania Lee Usher and is the father of Ashley Usher. He has two (2) bonus children Da’Ja Lee, Divine Lee. Together they are making an impact in the community in which they serve.
