Bishop David E. Johnson is a pastor, visionary leader, and former board member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World International Missions Department (PAWIMD) who has entered a new season of international leadership as Bishop of the 83rd District in São Paulo, Brazil. He also serves as a pastor in Minnesota.

For more than two decades, Bishop Johnson has served in ministry with a passion for winning souls, strengthening churches, developing leaders, and advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His years of service with PAWIMD helped prepare him for the growing international assignment he now carries in Brazil.

Since embracing this assignment, Bishop Johnson has been blazing a trail of fast-paced expansion in Brazil. His leadership and organizational abilities are helping create momentum by bringing pastors and ministry leaders together, establishing relationships, strengthening ministry connections, and developing a foundation for continued Apostolic growth.

That momentum is already visible. The São Paulo ministry reports more than 45 pastoral connections, worship and fellowship services, visits to multiple ministry locations, leadership collaboration, evangelistic outreach, language advancement, and long-term relationship building.

Bishop Johnson understands that lasting expansion requires more than visitation—it requires organization, leadership development, discipleship, resources, and sustainable relationships. His ministry approach emphasizes spiritual mentorship, evangelism and outreach, strategic church growth, leadership development, and global partnership.

His vision for Brazil is moving forward with intentional investment as well. Ministry resources have been committed toward outreach, leadership development, travel support, and continued expansion, including an approved $10,000 Expansion Grant supporting the ongoing work in Brazil.

As Bishop Johnson continues building throughout São Paulo and beyond, his focus remains clear: reach people, strengthen pastors, develop leaders, build churches, and establish an Apostolic presence capable of impacting generations.
